San Diego Jazz Vocalist Katie Catinella studied classical voice as an undergraduate at San Francisco State University. After graduating with a minor in music, she honed her vocal skills in a variety of Bay area ensembles, including the Oakland Symphony Chorus. A chance invitation to join a jazz ensemble introduced her to the Great American Songbook and ignited her passion for jazz singing. To further her knowledge of jazz singing, she attended The Jazz School in Berkeley, California. She is also a regular attendee at Jazz Camp West in La Honda, California.
Performance venues have included The Purple Onion in San Francisco, The Majestic Hotel in San Francisco, Kelly's of Alameda, The Catalina Marathon's 30th Anniversary Celebration, Cafe Europe in Hollywood, The Hollywood Studio Grill in Hollywood, The Trinidad Club in Palm Springs, Tapenade Restaurant in La Jolla, Vigilucci's Restaurant in La Jolla, Winestyles in Encinitas, The Silvergate Yacht Club in San Diego, The La Jolla Country Club, The Flying Bridge in Oceanside, Humphrey's Backstage Lounge in San Diego, The Tangier Lounge at The Bahia Hotel in San Diego, Sheraton Symphony Towers in San Diego, Shooters Lounge at the Sheraton Hotel in La Jolla, Cafe LeMaze in National City and Silo's Jazz club in Napa. She has also made guest appearances at Anthology Supper Club in San Diego.
